Obstetrics specifically focuses on health care for women in pregnancy and child delivery. Our personalised pregnancy care is woman-centred with a focus on safety and maternal choice.

Welcoming all pregnancies, Dr Liz , Dr Anusha, and Dr Shian are delighted to guide and care for you through your pregnancy.

Dr Liz, Dr Anusha, and Dr Shian are skilled in the management of routine and complicated deliveries.

The Cairns Private Hospital has closed its private Maternity and Birthing unit, with the last deliveries being performed on the 31st of October 2023.

From the 1st of November, all births will be managed by The Cairns Hospital’s Maternity team.

We are truly grateful that we have some amazing Endorsed Midwives and lactation Consultants.

Narelle has been with us since 2015, with Jillian recently joining the team.

As endorsed midwives, they have a collaborative agreement with our specialists, meaning your appointments with them are Medicare-eligible and bulk-billed.

Narelle is also vaccine certified nurse who oversees Whooping cough and flu vaccinations during pregnancy.
